Afterschool Club
More information coming soon.
Breakfast Club
It operates from each morning and is open to all pupils. It offers toast, and water. This is a social, relaxed start to the day where the children meet their friends and chat.
Classroom
Seventeen comfortable, thermostatically-controlled classrooms. Each classroom has its own toilets as well as a built-in wet area with sink, to cater for art & craft activities.
Each room is fully equipped with the latest information technology including touchscreen Interactive Whiteboards, wi-fi and individual ipads. Ipads are used to reinforce learning and as a tool for self- expression.
Free School Lunches
Healthy school lunches are delivered fresh to the school each day and are free to each child. They are provided by a local Wexford company called Fresh Today and are funded by the Department of Social Protection.
Fresh Today deliver bagged lunches that are individually labelled and hand crafted as per your child’s order. The lunches are delivered in a unique temperature controlled box which allows kids to eat their sandwiches chilled, hours after delivery to the school.
The children can select from a healthy menu with a different choice every day. The school lunches are very much in keeping with Healthy Eating Policy of the school and the Health Promoting Schools project which has been ongoing in the schools since 2014.
Garden
We are very fortunate to have many volunteers who come on a regular basis to provide our school with a fabulous and ever improving garden area.
Our Polytunnel in the school grounds is developing nicely with the Garden Group members sowing seeds and planting trees!
Glaisín
Glaisín is our Special Needs Unit catering for pupils with autism. We have an Early Intervention Class for children age three to five and two Junior Classes catering for children from five to eight years of age.
We call the Special Needs Unit Glaisín which means a little stream, making the link with the Maudlins Stream.
Glaisín has a Sensory Room, a Para educational room and a central activities area, as well as the classrooms and the withdrawal rooms.
Each class can cater for up to six pupils with one teacher and two SNAs.
Hall
We are delighted to have in our newly built school a state of the art general purpose hall which is used for many different school activities on a daily basis. Classes use the hall for their weekly PE lessons. It is also used for numerous other activities: assembly, drama lessons, exhibitions, sports coaching in hurling and football, school concerts etc.
The school hall is also used by our on-site play school.
Weekly fitness classes are held for the parents in this fabulous facility too.

Yard
There is a great sense of space surrounding our school and pupils play in different areas of the yard during break times according to their age group. This is for safety reasons and to try to minimise accidents.
We have recently held a fund raiser led by the Parent’s Association to invest in playground games and markings to enhance the playtime environment of the pupils. These will be bright, fun and interactive for the children to enjoy. Watch this space and the yard for updates!
The Men’s Shed very generously donated a ‘Buddy Bench’. The children will create designs and decorate Buddy Benches for each class area as part of the anti-bullying action plan for this year. The Buddy Bench Programme is a school based positive mental health programme that empowers children to foster friendships and eliminate loneliness in the playground.
The school has CCTV for your child’s protection and security.
