Curriculum

We value and implement a broad curriculum as set down by the Department of Education and Skills (DES).

Subjects taught are Gaeilge, English, Mathematics, SESE (History, Geography, Science), SPHE (Social, Personal and Health Education), Arts (Visual Arts, Music, Drama), PE (Physical Education). Grow in Love Religious Education Programme is taught.

School life is not just hard work. Modern dance, drama, swimming, hurling, football, basketball and instrumental music all provide for a broad & satisfying curriculum.

The school is located on the edge of town, with a fabulous view of the countryside. This provides us with the opportunity to explore the natural environment – to discover the classroom of the great outdoors.

We strive to nourish the body, mind and soul through a varied curriculum, arts and sports activities and a commitment to the moral development and the development of personal responsibility in each child.
